A CENTURY OF WOMEN - Watherwax

I PHOTOGRAPHED ALL THESE WOMEN IN A PERIOD OF 3 WEEKS IN 2005, UTILIZING SETS, PROPS, COSTUMES, MAKE UP, AND LIGHTING TO REFLECT THE DIFFERENT STYLES OF PHOTOGRAPHY AND FASHION FROM 1905 TO 2005. THE IMAGES RUN THE GAMUT FROM GLASS PLATE PHOTOGRAPHY TO DIGITAL. REPRESENTED ARE A 1918 BORDELLO, A 1924 FLAPPER, A 1937 HOLLYWOOD GLAMOUR PHOTO, A 1941 DETECTIVE MAGAZINE COVER (MY FAVORITE), WORLD WAR TWO POSTERS AND PINUPS, A VIETNAM PROTESTER, PLAYBOY, ETC. PHOTOGRAPHERS MAY RECOGNIZE THAT SOME OF THE PHOTOS ARE HOMAGES TO FAMOUS PHOTOGRAPHERS SUCH AS WESTON, HURRELL, GOWLAND, MAPPLETHORPE, AND EVEN PAINTER MAXFIELD PARRISH. ALL WERE SHOT WITH A NIKON D-70, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF "AFTER PARRISH", WHICH WAS SHOT ON FILM.
